Please help keep the firetruckfloat tradition alive.
The domino effect of adjustable rate home loans being made to people who could not afford them has hit the Lower Greenville St Patrick’s Day Parade. Several factors are working against us this year. First, the entry fee for the parade went up to $400 instead of the usual $100. Second, the weather has taken a toll on the Leprechaun-Trailer and it will have to be re-decorated this year. Third, cost of gas (because the Leprechaun-Traler is a 2+ hour drive each way). All told including refreshments, bathroom supplies and throwing beads the costs will exceed $2000 this year. AND this does not include the costs of repairing the firetruck for next year.
Long story short, we find it necessary this year to collect $50 per person to ride on the float. Although we are requesting $50 per person any amount above that will be accepted (With 30 people paying this amount we will not cover the entire cost but it still helps!) We must maintain a MAXIMUM of 30 riders this year, so the first 30 people to pay will get to ride… after that, people will have to walk. Anyone VOLUNTEERING to walk/dance alongside the float with us is welcome to only pay $30.
PROMISE: If, by chance, we collect MORE than what it costs this year… all funds will be put towards reviving the FIRETRUCK for next years parade. We are NOT trying to profit off of this, ANY and ALL money donated will ONLY be used for the expenses of the float. If any money is left over, it will be used to REDUCE the cost of next year’s event. Please help keep firetruckfloat alive by make your donation.

Thank you for understand and support.

PS. If cost is an issue, please email me dave@firetruckfloat.com and we can talk about a “WORK” donation… such as a volunteer to clean the bathroom on the float after the parade.
